The final three boards were accepted for presentation to the D&AD judges following two stages of elimination from entries UK-wide.

The Gyrophone material was part of a University project set up in response to a D&AD competition. “... an educational charity that represents the global creative, design and advertising communities.” (dandad.org) The primary goal was to produce a hand-crafted children’s toy for Hamleys toy store, however for submission to D&AD three boards were to be submitted capturing the essence of the project.
