A two person group project with an open brief from the electronics lab. The only stipulation was the use of BASIC Stamp and Processing as the core programming technologies.
We were interested in breaking away from standard control systems and so set ourselves the sub-brief of “Random Selection”.
Having hacked an existing Rubick Cube with custom switches, we were able to produce a working protoype able to randomly select from a library of 64 pictures. This library could easily be replaced with one containing different media content such as music or video.

An experiment in control systems, the Cubic Control is a standard Rubick Cube wired with switches to record any surface combination changes. These changes relate to a change in code and so a different photograph is displayed.
